(Glow of amazed achievement at patience paying > off!). Yeah, I remember installing my Ethernet card. I did it several times (I have a thing for taking apart PowerBooks), and after a while you get a knack for it. It's not really that big a deal. You have to get both the Ethernet card and the Apple RAM module in there without putting them in their sockets, then align them and press them down together. > I am also wondering if this ethernet card is likely to prevent using a G3 > upgrade at a later date? (Cant remember offhand the make but was one of the > main brands) Dunno about the Focus Ethernet cards, but I have a Sonnet G3/333/1M in my PowerBook 1400, along with a Farallon EtherMac PB1400 Ethernet card (PN591), and 64 MB (single 48 MB NewerRAM module) RAM. It all fits without a problem. By the looks of the Ethernet card, I could easily have gone for piggybacked RAM modules, but I decided to play it safe and go with the single module. ,xtG .tsooJ -- Joost van de Griek http://www.jvdg.net/ -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
