I bought a 1400c recently and have discovered the following problem that I would ask for list advice: When I first tried to operate with the battery, the machine would start up but after the mac icon appeared it would shut down. I used Disk Recondition and still the same problem. Before I ditch the battery I wondered if the experts had any advice. thanks bill
