Hi, originator of this topic here...

I can see using the external CD-ROM to install software OTHER THAN the OS, 
but my external CD-ROM's software operates as an extension; it's about the 
2nd-3rd one loaded up at startup. Since it is an extension, how on earth 
could I use it to install software? Would not the OS CD-ROM have to be used 
as the startup disc?
