Hey Dana et. al., Yes, fortunately, I just received it and the battery has a year warranty, so if this turns out to be a big waste of my time I can return it. Whew!
I am being patient with the process... Every time I put the new battery back in to charge I am getting more "white bars" at first... and then they rapidly diminish -- in about 5 seconds. Having old Macs is such an adventure.
