Its sure not right.  Under Setting --> Personality Extras, make sure 
that Authentication is set to "passwords."  You "should" be prompted 
by Eudora with a box to check to remember the password the next time 
you check it.  Also, if the password fails for some reason, you will 
be prompted again on the next check.
