This is a tough one that I hope someone might be able to answer.

I just picked up an Apple GeoPort telecom adapter NIB with all software. I
had planned to use it with an older PowerMac to act as a fax/answering
machine. These are of course not compatible with PowerBooks since they don't
have a GeoPort.

However. While reading through the "getting Started With Apple Telecom"
manual it mentions that this software can be used with a "Supported PC Card
modem". Unfortunately it doesn't specify what is supported anywhere in the
manual.

Does anybody know anything about this? Any idea if Apple offered a PC Card
modem circa 1996? Or if a 3rd party offered one (seems like one would be out
there if Apple mentions it in the manual)?

I have an old PowerBook 5300 that I would love to use. This would take up
much less space than an old PowerMac and monitor, plus it would be fun to
point out my nifty new telephony device to folks.

Thanks for any ideas or info!
