The loss of SCSI disk mode has been done to death in recent months,
but what's the connection re: the Jaz?

My external Jaz and external 1.2 gig Apple harddrive no longer connect to my
1400c after installing the 20gig drive. Both used to work with the original
2gig drive. Once I installed the 20 gig, neither work. My Zip 100 won't
mount either. SCSI Probe, Iomega Guest, nothing works.

When I swapped drives, I copied the contents to the external drive and to a
jaz so I could just move it to the new drive. Nope. Had to copy it via
ethernet since neither external SCSI device works with it anymore.

Swapping the drive should have absolutely *nothing* to do with the SCSI port; it's on a different bus altogether. I would go back into the 1400 and see if you knocked a connection loose or something.
