I love my 1400c upgraded with a Sonnet 333MHz G3. It is a solid performer. I use it 10+ hours a day for developing, surfing, AIM, and email.
The RAM is limited to 64MB. You can use a CF card for virtual Mem which is fast and saves on battery life.
I do that when using Photoshop a lot.
Most times though I just use virtual mem on the 20 gig drive I installed.
It's on par with any clam-shell iBook, minus the 190 MB ram, but gains the 2 pcmcia slots!

So would you say that Web page loading and screen redraw are good, not tolerable, with the 333 G3?
I'd prefer a stock 3400 over any stock 1400, but not a G3 1400. And at least in my case, 64 Mb are not that limiting. I just run a single application most of the time, two tops. Best regards. Hugo Diaz [EMAIL PROTECTED]
