Hmm.
Let's see if I get this correct:
Use Sherlock to find the file "AppleShare PDS"
Before you press search, use the edit button to select the "invisible"
option, then do your search; you should (in OS 9 at least) get the
indication that one file exists. Drag it to the trash, then press"OK" to the
warning that the Finder can't put it in the trash: it must be deleted
immediately.
Restart (or maybe you don't have to; I sometimes through away the Finder
pref./ also, then rebooted) and try your Chooser->AppleShare connection now.
