Mad Dog (of Tom and Lisa fame), Duo guru, advised: > Sounds like the classic "dark corners" syndrome for Duo 280 screens. > The theory is that there is water or oxygen leaking into the screen > near the corners, which prevents the pixels from relaxing into the > ground state (off). I dont know why it would appear suddenly, but > thats what the problem sounds like. If so, there is no known cure. > > Mad Dog Now my update: the screen is now fine! (?) all prior negative symptoms are at present not there! I have no idea how this happened, except (I speculate) heat, and the need to cool down as contributing factors. Is this a collateral symptom of the "Dark corners" syndrome, Mad Dog? As a novice powerbook owner, I am lead to believe that pbooks love to tease their owners, alluding to impending death, only to resusitate themselves, mocking their owners with a false sense of hope; unlike desktops, where when they die, you can trust that they are dead!
