Has anyone used a wireless setup with a dialup connection on a 1400? Is it even worth thinking about? I've got a dialup connection with a nominal speed of 56k, but it always connects at 31.3k or less.
There are several coffee shops in town that have wireless access setups, so I suppose that I could surf online while sipping latte and eating scones if I decide to play around with wireless.
The original Airport base station and one version of the newer kind does handle dial up. Asante's older non-wireless router had an option of using a dialup as a backup. And it would work as the only connection, i.e. no broadband connection. If their current wireless router supports a modem it should do what you want.
