Well actually... The problem isnt with MSN messanger.

A Type 2 error is an out of RAM error. Thats probably because your force
feeding MacOS 9 to a poor 3400 with only 48mb of RAM.

I have 128mb in my 3400 and even with that I won't go any higher than 8.6.

If it was my 3400 I would go to a lower operating system such as 8.1 or 8.6.
Then download a program called Mac Messanger. Its a third party MSN Client
that works on machines as old as a 68LC040 with system 7.5 on it.

I use a version of Mac Messenger on my 33mhz PowerBook 190cs with 44mb of
RAM and running system 7.6.1 and it runs great. I also use it on my 3400
with 8.6.

Either that or increase your virtual memory but virtual memory just being
switched on on a 3400 running MacOS 9 is slow. MacOS 9 is slow in general.
MacOS 8.6 with virtual memory on isnt too bad at all, even though I keep it
off for maximum speed.

Go now! Embark on your adventure!
