It can't hurt, though I think the NiMH batteries don't have nearly the
memory effect of the older battery types. Actually, if you're getting 3
hours of power off a charge, that's a lot better than I get on my 3400.

Glad you're enjoying it. I got a 3400/240/144 off here a few months ago and
really like mine too. I have it dual booting 9.1 and Yellow Dog and it's
pretty snappy in both of them for an old 603-based machine.
