--- I myself just aquired one of these machines also... As far as SCSI mode
is concerned there should not be an issue for the install... CD'rom drives
are avail for these up to 16x, the floppy and cd swap from the same bay, but
note that they are not hotswappable..
Timco computers.com has units for sale for reasonable prices... Update
the ram to 64(System top) For about $75.00. There are G3 upgrades avail for
the system.. I'm looking at a G3 466 upgrade for around $200.00 so that
might be to steep... I believe if you can find a 166 processor card for the
1400 series you can drop it right onto the mother board.. So if someone you
know has one, that might be a viable alternative...
