Would you say Macs are as widely used in Europe as in the U.S.?

I would say so, but as always it depends on the perticular company or area within which you're looking.

I would like to add one thing:

Not all Macs sell for the prices I'm talking about. Of course there
is the odd iBook 300MHz clamshell for $500 or a Bondi Blue iMac
for $450. The most recent laugh was a Pismo for $750.

I do have to work a little to find the extremely cheap ones, but
when you lot speak of 1400 for over $200 then it's a bit much...

I did find a PB 1400C/133 at a Smalldog garage sale for $25. It came in the box with two batteries, CD, floppy, original CD, bookcovers, and video out.
