The 5300 is a different beast- I have a 64 meg with a 8.6? 9.1? I forget :) plus Norton utils, and it always works in my 1400, but in my 5300 it takes a couple restarts before I can get it to work- the bus error pops up sometimes.
I know Bob and I have emailed about this :) but I have no solution other than check that PC Exchange is set up right, startup disk ponts to the CF before ou reboot, and maybe zap the PRAM. I could make a disk copy image of my 64 meg card and have you (Bob) get it via ftp? in case there's something about the little system I built that was fortuitous. Not sure how quickly I can get to that but email me off-list if you like.
