WHY CAN'T I SCSI Dock the 2300c to the 1400cs?!?

Good question!

Have you tried it? I always imagined you could, and I've never seen documentation that you can't, so....

OTOH, the SCSI signals might be confusing to the host PowerBook if it has a 2nd 'Book hooked up to it in SCSI Disk Mode/HD Target Mode. I don't know for sure, but I have a hunch that SCSI disk mode works by grounding a signal line on the HDI-30 connector. If you have two 'books hooked up on the same chain, they might both see that signal line grounded and think they are _both_ supposed to be in SDM.
