Craig W. asks: >I have a Duo 2300c, and a 1400cs... > >WHY CAN'T I SCSI Dock the 2300c to the 1400cs?!? Dammit man, you are trifling with the SCSI-Voodoo Gods!!! <G>
I think it's a termination and/or term power issue. Did you put a passthrough terminator between them? PB <-> PT-term <-> PB (PT-term = passthrough terminator) Also, neither PB supplies termination power and term power is probably needed for the passthrough terminator to work. The only way to provide term power is to put a device in the chain that does supply the bus with term power. That setup might look like this: PB <-> PT-term <-> device <-> PB Alternately, there are PT-terms that provide term power, Granite Digital, APS and others used to sell 'em, weren't cheap tho as I recall. The above advice assumes you are using one each 29 pin and 30 pin adapters. PB-to-PB docking _can_ be done, you just have to add some more stuff.
