My PB 160 won't come on even when it's plugged in to wall outlet. Of course battery doesn't work at all, It hasn't been used for years (with a relative). Now I would like to set it up with a dial-in email service (free, if there is a free mac one-she can't pay a monthly service fee).
any ideas on what my problem is? does dead battery kill computer? do power cords wear out and can one use something different than the Apple power cord that came with it? would a boot disk make any difference if there seems to be no power at all (no sound-no light)?
