It's incredible how much life is left in those old 3400s, isn't it?

I picked up a 3400/240 off the swaplist this summer just to have a little
more portable power than my old 5300c/100, and was amazed at how capable it
still was. I got the wireless working myself, and use the 3400 out on the
deck a lot. I don't even miss the 2.25 GHz Windoze tower in the den.

You really should pick up the MCE Zip 100 drive for the 3400, you would be
surprised how useful it can be. It stays in my 3400's expansion bay most of
the time.

Impressed that you got 9.2.2 working well. Mine is stable as a rock in 9.1
but unstable in any version of 9.2. I ended up re-blessing the 9.1 folder
and updating the Finder and Open Transport components with their 9.2
versions, and got the benefit of 9.2's added responsiveness that way.

Have you tried to hack OS X 10.1.5 on there yet? I know the 3400 can take
it, though I'm sure it must crawl on one. I did a page on my site:
http://www.athalawulf.com/3400desktop.htm not too long ago about my own 3400
desktop, mimicking some of the OS X features with third-party utilities.

Long live the Hooper!
