Can't you just use Tomeviewer and extract the Airport Software?Or am I missing something. I'm pretty sure that's what I was doing when I still had 9.1 on the machine, instead of 9.2.2.
Indeed, you can. Currently, that's the only way, in fact, to install AirPort on an unsupported machine.
However, I've been playing around with the AirPort installer for a while (actually haven't touched it in a few months until today) and I think I've found the hooks I need to change to get AirPort to install on the 2400c and 3400c/Kanga.
I haven't had a chance to test it yet, but I'll get around to it this weekend, probably.
A patched installer would make life easier for lots of people (including all the 3400 owners out there who don't realize that AirPort will run on their model). Of course, most Mac owners haven't even heard of TomeViewer...
(As a side note, FileCrusher is exactly the same thing as TomeViewer, except that it allows you to _build_ tomes, not just extract items. You can find it in Apple's Installer SDK.)
Peace, Drew
