[EMAIL PROTECTED] We have just aquired a PB 270C running Os 7.5.1. Its a nice machine full off really useful programmes but there is a minor fault or faults to be precise,on the HD. Clicking any sub-menu on the drop-down menu (from the 'Apple' top left) freezes the machine. Disk repair finds this and some other faults but tells us the drive is write-protected - so we can neither repair it, or re install ,or upgrade without a complete re-initialisation which will lose us the programmes on it we'de like to keep. Is there any way of turning of the write-protection on this drive that anyone more familiar with these machines may know about?? TIA
