Hey all, I am not a newbie to Macs, I have about 4 of em. even have an old IIgs...
But this is my first foray into Powerbooks... All my macs have floppy drives to get new files (such as internet softtwre) onto them, otherwise use terminal proggies to transfer them from pc to mac. But the powerbook Duo 230 has a flaw: NO floppy drive! And only a bare install of the OS 7.1, no terminal software on the laptop, or any hope of transferring files to get it onto the internet! **SOB** I have seen (on the pc side) and used terminal or file transfer software that Doesn't require the receiving end to actually have the software to get the tiles....Basically it copies itself to the other computer and runs from there...It again does NOT require the receiving end to have the software, it places itself onto the receiving end so it can complete normal Pc-to-pc transfer... Is there a prog like that for Macs??? If so, can any of you give me a link???? This would get my powerbook going! Thanks!
