Hello, My quest to get this 540c functional continues...
now that I've got the 540c working I'd like to install some software on it.
from what I've read online, a 540c can't play MP3's. Is this correct?
When I re-installed System 7.5, it installed Apple's CD Audio Player.
But this is useless to me because I don't have a CD hooked up to the 540c.
When I had to wipe the the Hard drive I lost the modem drivers and anything internet related.
The modem is a early model Global Village internal. Beyond that, I don't know much about it.
As for internet, I need something like PPP and MacTCP. right?
One last thing.
I remember when I had my Performa 550, there was a program to use any image as your desktop background.
Using images for your desktop wasn't part of the Mac OS at the time.
I'm sure this program was a third party effort.
For the life of me I can't remember the name of it.
seems like it was "Desktop something"
I appreciate any help or websites suggestions.
