Actually I'm running 9.2.2 on my 3400c 240mhz ram maxed out and it's quite a bit zippier than 8.6 or 9.1. The finder is much, much faster. I would recommend at least trying 9.2.2 if you can.

I tried it twice on both a 3400/240 and a 200 with clean installs and it was great EXCEPT that it reliably crashed on shut-down 4 times out of 5. So back to 9.1 for me.
