If Software Base Station isn't in AirPort 3 (or whatever the current version is), then I'm _certain_ there's an alternative. There should be plenty of software based routers for 'nix that will work on OS X with an AirPort card. But that question definitely shouldn't be on this list.

It's OK it was built into OS X from Jaguar as 'Internet Sharing', which supports routing to Airport.
