I'm pretty sure this is the Wallstreet I because I believe it has a 13.3" screen--I haven't measured it but that is what the seller listed. The II only came in the 14" and special edition 12", right? And would the machine boot and run for a while with an incompatible processor card (like mine does) or would it just not boot?

I think my problem is due to bad or incompatible RAM. I took out the 256mb module that I had in there and the machine hasn't crashed yet. I think that is it and that I had 2 seperate issues, first was the hard disk went south and i had to run disk first aid, then the bad RAM had me thinking that the disk was still bad.

Can anyone tell me if the follow module should work in a Wallstreet? The chip has: GPM100x64SC2/256/ER.

Could this be due to the bad HD or due to the processor upgrade I did? I put a Wallstreet 292mhz card and new 256mb chip in the machine. I'm sure this all should be compatible with OS 8.5, right? This is not a 3rd party processor card--it's an Apple part.

What was the original speed of the Wallstreet?

A Wallstreet @ 233 (with no cache), 250, or 292 MHz can work with the 292 MHz CPU card. This is the Wallstreet I (one) and cannot take Wallstreet II CPU cards.
A Wallstreet @ 233 (with 512 kB of cache), 266, or 300 MHz will not work with the 292 MHz card. This is the Wallstreet II (two) (sometimes called PDQ) and cannot take Wallstreet I CPU cards.

Peace,
Drew
