That sounds more like the old RAM chime of death.
Do Kangas still do that?
I know my early PowerMacs do the glass breaking sound when something is direly wrong. I have never heard any G3 or G4 do that though.
I suspect that the Kanga does, since it's basically just a 3400c.
I haven't heard that on any of my newer Macs (Wallstreet, Pismo, beige G3), but my beige G3 does occasionally give the "ka-ching" sound signifying hardware trouble.
