Hi all!
A few months ago, I picked up enough parts to build a 3400c/180 or 3400c/200 (two mobos, two PMU boards, only one display). The seller told me (before I agreed to buy, of course!) that the PMUs were probably no good, but that maybe one of them might work...
Well, today I picked up a non-DOA PMU from eBay and put it in my 3400c. It still didn't boot. It didn't even click. I heard a slight whine, but nothing else. I've tried the reset button, removing the PRAM battery, etc, all to no avail.
Do you guys have any ideas on how to get it working?
Finally, I noticed today that there's some corrosion on the PRAM battery - it looks like it may have leaked in the last week (possibly while packed up in boxes during a move when it got too hot). I'd wager that either the battery is toast or it's severely reduced in capability. Would a bad PRAM battery prevent the 3400c from booting? I also disconnected the PRAM battery, but the 3400c wouldn't boot then either.
