BTW--I've also been playing for the past half hour with the identity
settings--Netscape, iCab native identity, etc. Nothing gives me that
browser not compatible message--just the signon with the name and
password. Arrgh! :)

I used it for a few month until last weekend when 10.2 showed up thanks to

Nathan, where does that non-compatible browser link show up? I'm using 2.9.8
on two different machines, and it never shows up for me--all I get is the
sign-in link, and when I choose that, I get a recursion error message. I
reported this to Alexander Clauss at iCab (gave him a gmail account to test
with, too :) ), and he said we prob. wouldn't get gmail to work with iCab
until ver. 3.0.
(I've never seen that "browser not compatible" message--and I'm logged in to
it right now, too. The most I get is a message that iCab doesn't have a
certificate for gmail--has to do with the https login I think. I'd love to
get it working with 2.9.8--is there a setting maybe that we're missing or not
setting properly?)
