I had that problem too, namely CDs, numbering about 150 plus drivers and pure software. For the 150 data disks I found this app for free (for Pcs though) that catalogs everything and does searches too. Now I've got a 280 slot binder for it all and most of it is catalogued. If only I could get one for VCR tapes, must have 300 of them. My wife keeps saying I'll never get them all but I'll keep trying!
I have a huge pile of CD-Roms, Zip and floppy disks called Stuff. Does make it a pain to find things.
