It is built like a tank. I recovered two that were broken - one by cleaning out some coca cola that had been spilled into it, and the other just by replacing a HD and reseating some items (this one had clearly been badly dropped as the case was cracked a little, and to crack a PB1400 case you have to basically throw them against a wall).

So, incredibly tough little nuts, not very fast, quite heavy, but excellent excellent excellent keyboards! I own 2, one that has a G3 upgrade, and a backup with a crappy CS screen and 117Mhz processor (more an organ donor just in case the good one dies).

If all you want is a writing machine, then there is none better.
