Thats why i was wondering weather i could take the cage from a 5300
or 190 or 1400 and refit it in the case for the 5xx cage.
Has anyone tried this.
vicki
Saddly, this isn't possible. The 5x0 series uses a PDS type slot
inside the "bay" to connect the PC Card cage. The later NuBus
PowerBooks have the slots physically wired to the motherboard. Even
if that weren't true, you'd have to take all of the electronics along
with them (TREX IC, etc). So, upgrading a 5x0 with another
PowerBooks PC Card slots isn't possible.
Peace,
Drew
