AppleTalk and TCP/IP are two totally different protocol stacks.
You only need AppleTalk turned on if you're using its file sharing
or printing services. IOW, AppleTalk has nothing to do with
surfing the 'net.

Yeah. That and both are set to Ethernet. I'll try your suggestion Dan
and let you know if it works. Also, I remember having to run some
kind of CD-based program from Comcast on my iMac prior to setup. Hope
that's not required for the book. I doubt it even has enough memory
to run such a modern program.
