Okay, you are probably right. But, I have to select PPP or ethernet, so I would think that would take PPP out of the mix. I could be wrong, as I say I'm new at this. I didn't see anything about DHCP, but that doesn't mean it's not there. Where would I look for this?
When I first started with this, I didn't have the thing set for ethernet because I didn't know where to look. Then, I would get the message to check "configPPP" and make sure it's set right. But that file can't be opened. I don't know if it's a software issue or if the computer just won't let me get to it. But since I have the network control panel set to ethernet, I don't get this message anymore. I thought I was pretty good at this mac stuff, especially this older equipment, but I've about decided I'm in over my head. So as I said before, any help is greatly appreciated.
