Chuck - do some pages seem to load ffaster and others take thier time? If
that is true then it's the site servers that are slowing things down and not
your machine.
You should beable to find drivers and firmware updates for the voodoo on
versiontracker. Flashing the voodoo card couldn't be easier and detailed
intructions are included with the drivers.
Everything on my powerwave goes faster with the G3 upgrade and seems to be
the best thing I've ever done to the poor thing. The voodoo card I added
made games perform beautifully but really didn't seem to make any difference
on the Web pages I was downloading..
Your cable modem is sensitive to the # of other subscribers who make up your
localized network and how make are active at any one time. You share your
bandwidth with them.
If you do get a Voodoo 2 I can send you the drivers on a CD from the first to
the last issued. (You can check it with a viruschecker before installing and
verify that it's clean..)
good luck dave
