I missed some of the discussion, but I had a similar problem, using a Sony 17"
monitor on a PTP225 with the Twin Turbo card. I had long ago switched over to
the PC type port on the monitor card so I wouldn't have to use an adapter on
the Mac port. With gradual additions and upgrades to the system software, I was
coming up green and low-res on the screen almost every time and Conflict
Catcher was no use. Then someone on this list mentioned going back to the Mac
port with an adapter. The problem disappeared completely.
