What's the scoop on OS 9.2.1? I have a PowerBase 240 upgraded to G3 with
NewerTech Maxpowr accelerator. The messages at deal chat say that OS 9.2.1
is not compatible with our "older" computers. I tried to install it anyway
but the installer said something like my computer is not compatible and it
wouldn't install. However, there are lots of things I have been told that
supposedly aren't compatible (like the Maxpowr) and yet they all seem to
work just fine. Is there a hack or other way to try this out? I currently
have OS 9.1 and haven't tried OS 10 either which I guess is also supposedly
incompatible and is a prerequisite for being compatible with OS 9.2.1? I
read that 9.2.1 launches (or runs?) programs much faster than OS 9.1 even
though the boot speed is unchanged.
