To that I have to add:

The local supplier is also factoring in the warranty costs and the phone
support costs.  Locally I can buy 32mb 72 pin SIMMs for $98.  On-line or
through the 'grapevine' the same RAM is $15.  Of course, I'm a
professional.  If it doesn't work, I can deal with it myself.  Many
consumers can't and to them the premium price is worth it.

Ignorance has always had it's cost.
