In my continuing attempts to reawaken my own Toshiba drive, just long
enough to install some software on the computer, I began to wonder about
termination, as it can cause all sorts of strange affects, some seeming
like Finder errors.
To this end, when I changed the main drive over to a larger one, I got
spec sheets for the hard drive as well as the Toshiba CDROM to confirm
terminator settings. Sure enough, the Toshiba was terminated even though
it wasn't the last item on the internal chain. I have removed the jumper
but so far this hasn't cleared up my problem. Can anyone confirm the
jumper settings for the Toshiba when the set up is:
Motherboard --> Toshiba --> Hard drive.
I have terminated the hard drive according to manufacturer's
instructions.
Cheers all,
Thank you very much, this has been one of the best lists I've been on in
a while!
Sincerely,
Donn
