I wanted to let the folks on the list know about this. I have an old Apple Pentium 100 PC Compatibility card with no external cables, only an internal one. The internal cable apparently is designed for the PowerMac 7200 series. So I thought this card was worthless.
Check it out...I put the card into my PowerCurve with 604/132 and it works! It has one of the internal video slots in question. However, v1.6.4 of the PC Compatibility software did not recognize it. Version 1.5 does work. Also, the new PC Setup v2.1.7 available at http://www.pcsetup2x.com does work (required if you are running OS 8.5 or higher). So any of the PowerComputing machines based on the 7200 motherboard (PowerCurve, PowerCenter) will have this slot. I do see this same card for $5 on eBay right now, and while the missing external cables don't matter, one would need to ask if it has the correct internal cable. Or maybe a parts supplier has one. I've got DOS 6.22 on the thing now, and can run either Win95 or NT on it. So it might be of some value after all.
