Novice here! Can you help me? I wish to upgrade to OS 8. My computer is:
PowerComputing "Power Center" 150- OS 7.5.5 Built in memory: 128MB RAM On Hard Drive 1.3Gb available Processor: 604 140MHz My computer has been IBM formatted. When I inserted my OS 8 CD this message appeared: The hard disk driver on the disk "Power HD" cannot be updated with program because the disk has been formatted with non-apple disk utility. Contact the manufacturer of disk utility to see if you need to update the driver. Then when I inserted an OS 9 CD the following message appeared: PowerMac G4 HD img is in Extended format, which is not supported by this system. Select another configuration. What do I need to do to install OS 8 and if possible OS 9? I do not necessarily wish to have the computer IBM formatted. Thanks.
