Well, I played around with this some more last night, encouraged by the monitor
response to
removing the L2 cache card.

I'm a little more discouraged now though...
The monitor doesn't "always" start up...Seems random. Also, my machine doesn't
always restart when
I hit the restart buttons. I can't force a startup from the CD either and get
no system startup from the drives
It's just a blank grey screen.

My first response is that it's the keyboard, but this is just my guess, nothing
more. As you recall, I "guessed" it
was the power supply earlier, with no effect except that I am $50 poorer!

I am hesitant now to spend additional funds for a L2 card, when this problem
could be something else...

Any ideas?

thanks.
Tony
