Actually, the OS was 9.0.4 upgraded (via download) to 9.1.

In most cases, broadband ISPs don't want to assign you a "static"
(permanent) IP address.

In such cases, you must set your TCP/IP control panel to:

-- Connect via: "Ethernet"
-- Configure: "Using DHCP Server"

As a technical aside: I believe "DHCP" stands for "Doubt He'll Connect
Properly." (Actually, DHCP works pretty well.)
