Hi all, These discussions of CD-ROM drivers triggered an ancient memory, and in my files I found an article on ResExcellence (www.resexcellence.com) that I had used to make the CD-ROM drive on my PowerCenterPro 180 work properly. The article doesn't seem to be on the site any more (it was posted on 12-21-98) but the webmaster of the site might be able to locate it for you. The fix is attributed to Anthony Saxton, the author of ClipDragon.
The solution involved a simple edit with ResEdit to the Apple CD/DVD Driver. It worked perfectly, but is too detailed, with several illustrations, for me to attempt to post here. If you can't find it, email me and I'll try to get the time to type it all into a message somehow. -- Tom Dove *** Home page at toad.net/~tdove/ *** * Sailing, genealogy, ham radio * -- Power Computing is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Power Computing list info: <http://lowendmac.com/power/list.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> List archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/powercomputing%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Macintosh?
