Hi;

I'm really hoping this list can help. Yesterday I installed Netscape
4.79 on my PowerCurve 601/120 running OS 8.1. My contextual menus are
now acting "whacky." Meaning a) when I hold down the control key and
click on an item, the tiny menu icon appears but no list of possible
executions (eg put in trash, make an alias, etc.) ever appears. b) When
I hold down the Apple key over the bar of an open window (to see its
hierarchy, e.g. what folder it's in then what folder that's in etc.)
Everything on the desktop disapears for a second, then the window I was
in is gone and the other windows that were open flip flop their order.
This is all very frustrating and I don't know where to go to try to fix
this. Please if anyone can tell me what's going on and/or how to fix
this I'd really appreciate it. I've already run Norton Disk Dr. and
rebuilt my desktop a couple of times.

BTW, I did this installation because my financial service providor
claimed that I couldn't see all the navigation buttons on their customer
website pages because "Macs cause a lot of problems" but "it might be
your browser." ! So I was told to upgrade to the latest version (the guy
didn't really have a clue what was going on). Well, this version hasn't
helped that problem either. I have noticed that both in the previous
Netscape version (4.3 I think it was) and in this version if I turn
Javascript off before I load their site pages then I get their buttons
but not my account info. If I turn javascript on I get my account info
but not all the buttons. <SIGH>

All help very VERY much appreciated,

JD
