Hello fellow Power Computing listers,
I have a Power Computing Power Center Pro that I have just about maxed
out, with 512 MB ram, 2 SCSI hard drives (1 is 4 gig, the other 18 gig), a
newer tech 400 MHz G3 upgrade, and I'm running OS 9.1. I just added a
firewire/usb card (Sonnet Tango) which seems to be working well with what
devices I've tested it with. I hooked up my iPod after updating iTunes to
2.04, and it told me I needed system 9.2 to work with my iPod. So I
downloaded the 9.2.1 updater, tried to install and received a message stating
it wouldn't work with my hardware. Can I use my iPod with my PowerComputing?
I sure would like to as its my main computer. I have a laptop that's factory
G3 running 9.2.1, but I want to use the iPod with either machine. iTunes did
see the iPod, but I didn't try messing with any mp3s on there or adding any
from my PowerCenter. I guess my question is really 2, can and should I try to
use the iPod with sys 9.1, and is there a way to install 9.2? Thanks everyone
for their time.
Regards,
Terry Bennett
