I don't have my iPod in synch mode, that way i can grab mp3s from any mac with firewire and iTunes 2. Its also usable as a portable 5 gig harddrive that way, though i have it mostly packed with mp3s. I also carry the podmaster software on it, that lets you transfer tunes to any iPod compatible mac. This way it has no "assigned" computer. -Terry

It can only be "assigned" to one computer as far as synchronizing. It will show up on a second computer in the iTunes window and you can play tracks, but not copy them unless you have one of the various utilities floating around to accomplish that part. I have my iMac set as the iPod's home computer, and I can see it on the Wallstreet but I make sure not to break the link and re-sync. -- JSH >> ----------------- T.B. **** -- Power Computing is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Power Computing list info: <http://lowendmac.com/power/list.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> List archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/powercomputing%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Macintosh?
