Regarding the PCI riser: make sure it is properly seated on the motherboard. Several correspondents to this board have found that the riser had come loose while they were doing other upgrades or maintenance. That may resolve the video card problem. Regarding the four-port USB PCI card: Belkin has manufactured a "QuadraBus" four-port USB PCI whose minimum requirements were that it had to be used in an Apple B&W G3 or later. Folks here have confirmed that the card would not work in Power Computing machines. Here's what Belkin itself says: "Compatible only with Power Mac G3 Blue and White or Power Mac G4 under Mac OS 8.6 through OS 9.x. " http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Product_Id= 85057 Any possibility that you are using that card or perhaps a similar four-port card with the same Lucent QuadraBus limitations? It would be interesting to see what happens if you install a cheap two-port USB PCI card. Also, several of us have enjoyed success with USB devices only after installing the Apple USB drivers (aka, "Apple USB Adapter Card Support 1.4.1") which can be downloaded at: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=31132 Don't give up yet, Martin! -- Power Computing is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Power Computing list info: <http://lowendmac.com/power/list.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> List archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/powercomputing%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Macintosh?
