Matrox did make a video card for Mac shortly after the switch to PCI slots from Nubus, but it was a disaster. Expensive and buggy as hell. They withdrew from the Mac market early on, and unless they have put out cards recently that can be flashed for Mac, I'd say the card was an experiment that didn't work out by the former owner.
